3rd PULSE MWGP Network Conference
August 5-7, 2016, Washington University in St. Louis, MO

Welcome to the Midwest and Great Plains Network! We are building a community of practice around implementation of Vision & Change recommendations in a 13-state region: IA, IL, IN, KA, MI, MN, MO, ND, NE, OH, OK, SD, WI. There are 11 PULSE Leadership Fellows who have coordinated this network:

In addition, there is a planning committee of representatives from the other founding network member institutions. These members represent a variety of institutions types: community colleges, regional comprehensive, research universities, and liberal arts.

Our first network conference was held June 6-8, 2014 at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. Click here to see the resources from this conference. The second conference was June 5-7, 2015, also at Washington University. Institutional teams used the Vision and Change rubrics to "take the temperature" of their department regarding evidence-based teaching, and used creative problem solving strategies to develop a shared vision and a plan to enhance a particular aspect of their program during next year. We are currently working on follow-up activities and planning to expand the network, as well as a third network conference on August 5-7, 2016, again at Washington University .
