Based upon the results of our pilot study and feedback from the community, we have revised the original rubrics. In addition to the full-length version, a shorter, retooled Snapshot Rubric is available that gives an “overview” of progress in Vision and Change adoption.

We are still looking for more data!
We invite PULSE community members to engage with the work of transforming life science education through a rigorous self-assessment by using the Vision & Change Rubrics v2.0 and submit rubric data for their programs at the PULSE Recognition portals (full-length or Snapshot). Scores from the full rubric, snapshot rubric or a portion of the full rubric are welcome. Submitting your rubric scores will help PULSE generate a national data set documenting the implementation of V&C recommendations by all types of institutions.

Learn more about Recognition Circle Initiatives
We seek to provide life science departments with valuable tools for transformation. These include:
Rubrics: detailed set of assessment tools that allow departments to self-evaluate their advancement toward adoption of V&C principles.
Data: collection of rubric data from departments across the country to determine the current status of reform nationally. Compare your scores to those of other programs.
Recognition Program: peer-review mechanism that recognizes departments for progress in the implementation of V&C recommendations.
